we

One piece of advice I give to every audience and every client is: Should you desire more peace and love in your life then put something beautiful into your mind at night right before you go to bed. Not only will you sleep with angels and wake with the gods your soul will commune with this beauty and quilt it in to you.

Share them with your social media friends

This is a week of: Poetry, Beauty and Loving Thoughts

Each post will be a beautiful piece you could use right before you sleep to activate and sustain your loving heart and a positive perspective in your waking life.

Today’s Poem is So Many Gifts by Hafiz.

I chose this poem for several reasons, firstly because it’s my birthday is this Friday and the poem reminds me that I still have gifts from God to open. Some of them to open within my heart, others within my consciousness but all the gifts are to be expressed for the my joy and shared for the joy of others

Be sure to read all the way to the end – there you will find a beautiful defintition of a poet.

So Many Gifts
There are so many gifts
Still unopened from your birthday,
There are so many hand-crafted presents
That have been sent to you by God.

The Beloved does not mind repeating,
“Everything I have is also yours.”

Please forgive Hafiz and the Friend
if we break into sweet laughter
When your heart complains of being thirsty
When ages ago
Every cell in your soul
Capsized forever
Into this infinite golden sea.

Indeed,
a lover’s pain is like holdings one’s breath
Too long
In the middle of a vital performance,

In the middle of one of Creation’s favorites
Songs.

Indeed, a lover’s pain is the sleeping,
This sleeping
When God just rolled over and gave you
Such a big good morning kiss!

There are so many gifts, my dear,
Still unopened from your birthday.
O, there are so many hand-crafted presents
That have been sent to your life
From God.

A Poet
A poet is someone
Who can pour light into a cup,
Then raise it to nourish
Your beautiful parched, holy mouth

Don't Give Up
Perspective

Today is a friend’s birthday and I could not quickly find this in The Gift, that is
my only Hafiz book where it appears. So searched it and here it is. A great
thanks for sharing my work with others. But my publisher, Penguin Random
House (and I) would appreciate attribution.

    Again thanks,
    Daniel Ladinsky
